USB-C Dock Dual-Monitor Compatibility Checker
Dock listings are full of traps: USB-C is not always video-capable, dual monitors can be limited by the laptop, and 4K 60Hz is a much bigger load than 1080p. Run the setup first, then compare the dock class that is actually worth buying.
Why dock compatibility is messy
USB-C is only the connector shape. The laptop port still needs video output support, the dock must list the monitor count and resolution you want, and the laptop must support that many external displays. Intel describes Thunderbolt 4 as able to connect up to two 4K 60Hz monitors through a compatible dock or adapter, while VESA's DisplayPort Alt Mode explains why some USB-C ports can carry display signals and some cannot.
